The rough plan at this point is to play a series of games that I will try to tie into a narrative as we go. Look for a post soon detailing the background of the events we have.
In more detail it is a several months long organized play event where we meet every other week and play some games and see what effect it has on the story. Players will be split into two loose alliances that are vying for control. Each player will control "Strategic Objectives" that will benefit their alliance as well as provide benefits that they can take advantage of during each battle. I will review those in more detail in future posts. For now I will cover the basics including the loose schedule and some terms I will use to define stuff.
Tier
I am breaking this into several tiers. The tiers mainly define the current point value at which games will be played. Below is the current schedule for the tiers.| Month | Tier | Points | Table |
|---|---|---|---|
| January | 1 | 1000 | 4 x 4 |
| February | 2 | 1250 | 4 x 4 |
| March | 2 | 1250 | 4 x 4 |
| April | 3 | 1500 | 4 x 6 |
| May | 3 | 1500 | 4 x 6 |
| June | 4 | 1750 | 4 x 6 |
Turns
The plan is to have a day every two weeks on Fridays were people can reliably expect to find people to play games against. That day will also mark the start of a turn that will last 11 days. So for example Turn 1 will start January 27th and last until Feb 7. Games results will all need to be submitted by the 11th day so I have some time to recap and prepare for the next turn. Each Friday morning I will post the information for the current turn. That information will include a break down of the previous turn, the current faction in dominance, as well as any special rules that will be in play that turn.
Opponents
One of the hardest thing to overcome when running things like this is maneuvering around the schedules of the adults that play these games. In order to avoid this we will simply play who ever you want during the turn. Of course only games against players of the opposite faction will be counted as crusade games where objectives can be won and lost.During each turn you may play as many games as you like, with the only restriction being you can never hold more objectives than current turn maximum.
Reporting
Games will be played and objectives will be won and lost. In order for me to keep track of who has one or lost I will need someone from each game to notify me when they play a game along with the results. I will create a post in the Google group each week that will be used to report games played. When you play a game simply reply to that post with the following information:Player Names
Objectives anted and the random rolled one
Scenario played
Battle result (full info helpful such as VPs scored ect)
Objective claimed by winner
Stay tuned for posts on Dominance, Strategic Objectives, Crusade Abilities as well as some fluff stuff.
